During my internship at The Illawarra Flame, I wrote a front-page story about the Lego Robotics scene in Wollongong and surrounds. What started as a question ‘What on earth do people find so fun about Lego?’ turned into a story about learning and community for kids in STEM. This story became my third cover story in my internship, and garnered a two-page spread, as seen below. As well as this, I photographed the aftermath of flash flooding around Figtree, some of which featured in the story below.
