The Illawarra Flame: Journalism for Shellharbour Edition – 18th March 2024

Throughout my internship as a journalist at a community news magazine, The Illawarra Flame, I researched, produced, wrote and photographed a number of published articles. My story about a local art space (insert proper name of the place) exhibition following International Women’s Day 2024 included a number of my photographs from opening night. One of these photos was featured on the cover of one of the flame’s weekend edition digital magazines. In the same edition, my story was presented on a double-page spread, as well as another story I wrote about a local homelessness charity. I had a lot of fun with these stories and found it very fulfilling to use my skills, both written and photographic, to share these stories with the local community.
