I didn’t just learn how to skate. I learned that and graduated with a black robe, darker bruises and one of those funny hats, (which, by the way, are called “mortarboards” because they resemble a tool used by bricklayers to hold mortar…), in case anyone was wondering.

‘It’s important to make fun of yourself, especially when that’s the only thing you’re good at.’

I went ice skating twice in the Easter holidays, yeah, I went back just to practice falling down really gracefully.

See, the problem ended up being that I CAN actually skate, (despite Dad’s opinion), I just can’t stop. Actually no, I can stop. I stop, drop and roll df outta here get back up with a positive attitude and a positively broken self-image and knee.

Fun fact – I lived in Orange for 10 years. For those of you who didn’t just grow goosebumps at the thought, Orange is a city that is notoriously cold.

Fun fact 2 – I hate being cold. And I hate snow.

Lily threw some at the car but didn’t dare to aim one at me and my camera.

Ice skating is supposed to be cool, and let me tell ya when you fall ass over head and every angle in between, it is. I figured out how to spin clumsily instead of falling eventually.

Fun fact 3 – I kind of love ice skating, but I am this;
